Been thinking lately about the great state I live in. When my brother-in-law was visiting from North Carolina a few weeks ago, we talked about how "proud" Texans are of their state and how few other states focus so publicly on being Texan. Those who don't live in the state or who have never visited Texas often think we're all about cowboys, horses, cattle drives, Willie Nelson, George Strait and cowboy hats. Some even think we all live on 500 acre ranches that go for miles and miles! Although those are certainly important to many of us, we also have sky scrapers, freeways, sophisticated five-star restaurants, fabulous musical events, an awesome symphony, ballet company and now the awesome new Cowboy's Stadium. Its a sight to behold for sure. It makes the case for "everything is bigger in Texas"! In the next few BLOGS I'll be posting some pictures of the Dallas-Ft.Worth area that will give further insights into how we live here in the great state of Texas! Stay tuned. Yeehaw. In the meantime, look at these beauties ~ love these colors.....
