Texas girls As promised, some pictures of the local sites of Dallas-Ft.Worth area.  We do have some gorgeous folks around here who are also smart, fun and friendly!



~The famous Ft.Worth Stockyards is a popular visiting area~ Wonderful cobblestone/brick streets sound like a "real" stampede!

Texas Musings Been thinking lately about the great state I live in. When my brother-in-law was visiting from North Carolina a few weeks ago, we talked about how "proud" Texans are of their state and how few other states focus so publicly on being Texan. Those who don't live in the state or who have never visited Texas often think we're all about cowboys, horses, cattle drives, Willie Nelson, George Strait and cowboy hats. Fort Worth, Texas They say things are bigger in Texas but how did we get that distinction? Look at this landmark building called "The Flatiron Building" in downtown Ft.Worth (one of the prettiest, cleanest downtown areas you'll find, even with the Stockyards!)...Maybe it was the start. The Flatiron Building was erected at Ninth and Houston Street in 1906-07, then the tallest structure in North Texas. Acclaimed as "a great ornament to the city," it was commissioned by Dr. Bacon Saunders (born 1855), a well-known and important physician in Fort Worth who served as dean of the Fort Worth Medical College. ~Stay tuned for...
